Worst refrigerator Ever!

I have had refrigerators for 50 yrs of my married life. This is the worst! The ice maker broke within the 1st year. Within the 2nd year the compressor quit working! Whirlpool does not have a compressor anywhere. We have been 28 days w/o a refrig. Now we have to wait another 5-6 days till they get the part then more time for repair person to come out. No thankgiving @our house this year!#2,300refrig. Not even 2 years old. Don't buy this one!

I had to special order this refrigerator and wait 2 months! It fits perfect, has all I features I wanted and matched all of my other new whirlpool appliances! I waited a long time for my new kitchen!!!

Within the 1.5 years we have owned the fridge, we have had to have a technician out 3-4 different times. The ice maker quit working, we have had countless issues with the control panel freaking out (for example, it kept changing set temps for the freezer and fridge). Now the latest, is it quit working at all. Came home to water all over the kitchen floor where the ice in the bin had melted (not to mention all of the food in the fridge was barely cool). Freezer quit working too and food had started to thaw. I would not recommend this fridge to my worst enemy. Good news is, I have made a new friend in the technician that has to keep coming to my house :0)

I have had my fridge since January. Wow it is incredible. love the water and ice in the door. There is a lot of space in both the fridge and the freezer. Customer service line is very good as well. courteous and professional

Ice maker ice melts and clumps together. We use it daily but for some reason the oce melts in the bin and refreezes together.

Pour un refrigerateur a plus de 5000$ je suis vraiment etonné de sa mauvaise qualité! On l a acheté il y a moins de 2 mois et deja sans aucune raison (ma femme et moi faisons attention a nos affaires) un bac de legume s est brisé, une plinte decorative s est detaché, les portes du frigo se sont deplacé faisant qu elles ne sont plus alignés! Bref tres tres mauvaise qualité pour un frigo si cher! Il est beau c est vrai mais je le deconseil vivement!

For starters, this fridge will not make more than about half a dozen glasses of ice at a time. Not tumblers, glasses.
Two to three months in now and the freezer works great but the fridge part is tepid at best, no matter what setting and length of time you wait!
Never would have spent that kind of money on what I thought was an exemplary product had I known the limitations and problems thus far. It seems mediocre is all we can shoot for these days unless you buy something made off shore!
Did I mention the interior of this unit was filthy when we unwrapped it? Grease spots, rub marks and I'm pretty sure we could probably take the finger prints, that just won't come off with anything I've got on hand, and find out who belongs to them.
As I said, mediocre at best. Shoddy workmanship for sure. No pride. Too bad.
You can tell I'm not real pleased, but it just galls me, that after a lifetime of busting my ___ to be the best I could be, every day, giving my best to each and every one of my customers, that this kind of workmanship still exists! Pathetic and disappointing.

This refrigerator has literally no room. Very limited on what you can put where.. shelves are not adjustable. Fridge is 1 or old and ice maker freezes up and won't work

I love the French doors as they offer so much room! The space directly above the drawers was genius...I can store two 9x13 dishes perfectly. The door pockets are roomy and hold much more than traditional doors.
I am not as thrilled with freezer drawer...it's okay but could be better laid out...items have to be placed on top of each other in the bottom of the drawer. And if you don't pay attention items will fall between the drawer and the wall, causing you not to be able to close the door...it's not easy getting items out from that area.

I purchased this at the end of October 2018. On Feb 4 2019 the problems began. Here it is March 5 2019 and we have no working refrigerator. We are living out of coolers we leave outside! The only good thing is it is winter here. The ice maker stopped working. Before that was even repaired the refrigerator stopped cooling. There is a know problem amongst whirlpool and their contracted repair service. That modification was installed. However, it did not fix the problem which was the outcome suspected by the tech. There is possibly two additional parts needed but they will only replace one at a time to see if it will work! Waiting on the tech to keep an appt to fix. More than one scheduled appt has been cancelled by contracted repair. Lots of lack of communications or game playing between whirlpool and contracted repair center...makes the blame game easier for both of them with the customer suffering in the middle with no working refrigerator. examples ... they never told us it wasn't working...we don't have you on the schedule today.... Frustrated, I called whirlpool head quarters. No concern there. Just a wait and see attitude. What a joke. Got a whole 75.00 gift card for my inconvenience when I made the first call regarding the ice maker. Requested additional compensation when the refrigerator stopped cooling and was told no. So in summary....if you just want a pretty appliance to look at buy this one cause it is beautiful.....BUT......don't expect it to work or be repaired in an expeditious manner....be prepared for your food to go bad....be prepared to buy large coolers and ice to use as your sub refrigerator while your pretty whirlpool appliance looks great in your kitchen but fails to work!

Had this fridge delivered 9/11/18. The fridge had numerous issues about a month from delivery. From the fridge freezing to ice maker not working and 5 trips outs from the repairman to replace numerous parts. The current issue is the ice/water in the door and controls do not show up(along with Whirlpool customer service being horrible). Whirlpool wouldn't agree to replace it until they replaced the parts once more but they were so back ordered that the 1st week of the year they agreed to replace the fridge. Was told a call would let me know when they would be dropping it off in 2-3 weeks. I called after 4 weeks of not hearing anything to find out they cant give me a date when one will be available and I could have the option of taking a cheaper one with no money back or buy a more expensive one and pay them the extra fee. Not sure how they think they have good customer service! Would love this fridge if it worked but that clearly isn't an option after having it full of issues and no resolve.

Plenty of room in the refrigerator section and the black stainless is attractive and easy to keep clean. Inside drawer alignment should be compatible with the split door so you don't have to open both doors to open drawers. Nice clear drawers. Sliding shelf allows for taller items. Once doors are loaded with food, they are very heavy and slam with a loud bang. Ice maker is sufficient for only two people in a household. Don't count on it for a party or to accommodate a family. It also shoots out 5 or 6'extra cubes on the floor after you take away cup. Pizza slot in freezer drawer is a nice idea, however it needs to be and adjustable pocket. If other foods slide into pocket, they can freeze solid and get stuck resulting in having to defrost entire freezer. Top freezer drawer slides off track and food falls behind door making it impossible to close. Freezer drawer does not seal properly and gets full of frost.

Really love the look and design of this fridge. Extremely spacious refrigerator area. Everything is adjustable to make the best use of the space for your individual needs. Also, really enjoy the water dispenser settings that allow you to set specific amounts to dispense with just one touch. Highly recommend!

As the review title implies, we bought this fridge to replace a Samsung fridge and couldn't be happier!
From day one, this fridge has blown Samsung's comparable French Door Fridge out of the water. Everything just works. From the overall roominess, to the layout/configuration of the shelves, to the water dispenser and ice maker. The ice cubes are smaller than previous fridges we've owned, but we quickly grew to love their size. Mainly because the ice cubes don't get clogged (so no leaking/dripping) and the cubes dispense quickly.
We've only had the fridge for a few weeks, but since it's American made, we feel confident that if something does go wrong, the available parts, and qualified technicians familiar with Whirlpool fridges, won't be hard to find.
All in all, we're very happy with our purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who's on the fence.

Bought three weeks ago love the finish and the freezer on the bottom and all the extra room compared to my old Frigidaire sideby side, the new whirlpool is a countertop depth model makes kitchen area look larger, the layout of this model is very helpful, great ice maker and water dispenser.
