Very satisfied overall. Only issue is it requires 20-30 minutes for the auto turn on feature to start and that's having 3 burners up on high for that time. Unit appears to function properly shutting off.

Nice design that compliments the range, however it is loud. There are bathroom exhaust fans that move comparable air with far less noise. The soft light from the rear lamp is a nice feature and offers a pleasant mood while highlighting the tiled wall and range.

Great quality and looks attractive.

I installed this hood a month ago and I am very pleased with the quality and appearance in my newly remodeled kitchen. The instructions for installation were easy to follow. The only reason four the 4 stars and not 5, is because the "kitchen Aid" logo on the duct cover was installed upside down from the factory. A call to customer service took care of the issue very quickly.

Worked for 2 days then stopped

This has one of the worse install guide along with the worse users manual. We had a kitchen remodel its this hood installed over the induction range. The hood worked for 2 days then died. No one has been able to diagnose the problem.

Really like it

This is a nice vent hood. It's attractive (more on that later), quiet and works well. The lights are attractive, bright and useful and I love the automatic part that turns it off and on when needed. I had a much more expensive vent hood but I truly like this one more. Now, about its attractiveness. It came with the Kitchenaid logo on it crooked! I can't look at a crooked logo for the rest of my life! I had to have two service calls to get it replaced and leveled. That was totally unnecessary if there was adequate quality control. Just saying.

Huge, but beuatiful

I was initially shocked at the size of this hood upon its installation. I had not seen it displayed in person, which was my mistake. Once completely installed though, it is a focal point, for sure! While the chimney section is wider than I would have preferred, it still looks terrific. Such an improvement over our old ventilation system. The two settings light fixture is great, the front lights being LED and the rear (low) light achieves a more subdued look for evening. Fan is relatively quiet, though I have not yet used the 'power boost' high setting.

Great hood

I have this one for more than a year already and very happy with it. The best feature is a heat sensor. The only thing you need to do when you start cooking is to press 2 buttons: turn on the lights and auto-fan. It will do the rest for you. As soon as it detects heat from the range it will turn on the fan automatically and will adjust it continuously until you done cooking. At the end just turn off the lights (that are very bright by the way) and go have your meal, the hood will continue working until all the heat is gone and then it will turn off automatically. I wish the sensor could detect smell as well! The fan works great. It's super quiet on low and a bit noisy on high, but because it's so powerful we very rarely have to use anything higher than medium setting. It's more than enough for our 5 burner gas range. I think it's a bit overpriced for just a motor, fan and some stylish stainless steel metal panels, but it looks so great in the kitchen!

Defective out of the box

Stay Away from KitchenAid

Unit was defective out of the box and they would not replace the unit. It took a service call for them to tell me they have to order the replacement motor and it would take an additional week and another service call to repair. I will never buy Kitchen Aid again. I am also experiencing an issue with my new range too. Very disappointing. If you are contemplating getting KitchenAid appliances I would highly recommend against it.
